Free Personal Exercise Programmes

The Pulse leisure centre is offering everyone a free personal exercise programme during lockdown

Exercise instructors at The Pulse, Stroud District Council's leisure centre in Dursley are offering a personal exercise programme that people can follow while confined to home.

Since leisure centres were closed in an effort to halt the spread of Coronavirus, the team at The Pulse has been busy recording a range of free-of-charge exercise videos and holding live Facebook classes in an effort to keep people in the district fit and healthy.

Ange Gillingham, manager at The Pulse said:

"The online classes and live Facebook events we have hosted have been extremely popular. We decided to add the personal programmes to our range of services during lock down as we had received so much positive feedback from both Pulse customers and non-users who then started asking specific questions about their own fitness goals. We offer programmes at the centre so could see no reason why we did not extend this service to home workouts."

The personal exercise programme is free-of-charge, and available to anyone who lives in the Stroud district.

If you would like to participate, please send the following details:

  • Your name
  • Age
  • Your workout goal
  • Any injuries or illnesses which may be aggravated by exercises
  • Exercise equipment you have at home

To hello@pulsedursley.co.uk

The Pulse aims to respond within three working days, however it may be longer depending on the number of requests received.

Ange added: "There is no charge for the programme, however a member of the Pulse team suggested that participants could be invited to make a donation to NHS Charities Together which I'm pleased to say is going well."
